"50 laps crawling": Franco Colapinto's lament after finishing last in Mexico

The Argentine Alpine driver gave a forceful account of a race in which he was unable to get past the back of the grid.
FrancoColapinto finished the Mexican Grand Prix in 16th place , the final spot after the retirements of Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Carlos Sainz (Williams) . The Argentine had an early incident with Lance Stroll, which culminated in the Alpine spinning at the second corner.
The number 43 recovered quickly and was able to continue in the race, although this setback, combined with his hard tires, prevented him from competing for positions.

After the race, the Pilar native spoke to the media and began: "I did 50 laps crawling along with no grip at all." The Argentinean did, however, lament the lack of grip on his hard tires during the first part of the race.
“It felt really long. As a team, we lacked rhythm and it was hard for us , so... let's work for the next one,” Colapinto continued, expressing deep resignation.

This lament is not surprising, as the A525 continues to fail to respond and the team has once again finished at the back of the grid in another race and is sinking in the Constructors' Championship, where it sits last with 20 points (all earned by Gasly).
Finally, Colapinto expressed his excitement about what's coming up in the Grand Prix, as the category will move to Brazil for the South American Grand Prix, specifically at the Interlagos Circuit. "The good thing is that things can't get any worse than this. I hope we do well and give the fans a good result. Brazil is our home Grand Prix, and many Argentinians will be there. I'm really looking forward to going there and enjoying it with all of them," Colapinto concluded.
